NETSCo is proud to announce that Richard A. Mueller, President & CEO received the prestigious President’s Pin at the recently completed SMC2024 Business meeting. This ”pinning” is symbolic of the impending passing on of the SNAME leadership torch to occur on January 1st, 2025.
The SNAME President’s Pin, a symbol of excellence and dedication within the maritime industry, has a rich history of honoring those who have made substantial advancements in the society’s mission. The pin represents both personal achievement and the continuity of leadership within SNAME.

The tradition of passing the President’s Pin from one leader to the next is a profound reminder of SNAME’s commitment to innovation and excellence in naval architecture and marine engineering. Each pin signifies trust and confidence in the leadership that guides SNAME through new challenges and milestones. At SMC 2023 in September 2023, Mr. Mueller was elected by his peers to serve as President from 2025-2026. While serving as President-elect in 2024, Mr. Mueller served as Chair of the SMC 2024 Planning Committee.
