Case Study

Custom-designed Party Boat Concept
Custom Design Party Barge Concept

Background

The client, a startup company, wanted to understand the cost of creating a custom-designed passenger vessel for use as a party boat in Cleveland’s waters. The startup approached NETSCo to develop a concept design based on their input. NETSCo undertook the challenge and developed a design that met the client’s expectations.

Objectives

To design high-quality party boat concept that met all client specifications and safety regulations prescribed by relevant authorities.

The Challenge

NETSCo conceptualized a small passenger vessel that complied with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Subchapter T requirements for boats under 100 gross tons. The design was a multi-hull pontoon vessel that could comfortably hold approximately 36 passengers. NETSCo considered many details such as structural arrangement, stability, seaworthiness, and aesthetics to deliver a high-quality, customized party boat.

Project Scope

NETSCo completed a comprehensive study that included the conceptual design and cost estimate to design and build the party boat. The firm worked to ensure the vessel’s design was appealing to the eye and had excellent structural integrity. The team also considered the vessel’s stability as well as ensuring that the vessel met all safety requirements and regulations while still providing ample deck space for entertainment purposes. The client was kept updated on the progress of the project and had the chance to provide feedback at every stage of the design.

Solution

NETSCo’s Party Boat Project is a testament to the firm’s commitment to delivering innovative and customized solutions to clients. Unfortunately, as with many custom-designed vessels, the project did not materialize due to cost considerations. However, despite the project’s non-completion, NETSCo met all the client’s objectives. We are proud of our team’s efforts and expertise in bringing the client’s vision to life, and we look forward to taking on more challenging projects like this in the future.
