Background

This Terminal has long been an integral node for maritime logistics along the Mississippi, relying heavily on its operational efficiency and infrastructure integrity. However, to meet modern standards and expected service levels, an extensive update was needed. NETSCo, was selected to oversee the Project Management of these revitalization efforts.

Objectives

To oversee the Project Management of the revitalization upgrade in the field to enhance the structural integrity and safety of the Terminal and ensure the project was completed within the agreed timeline and budget.

Challenges

The NETSCo team embarked on a methodically planned operation that integrated various elements of project management, from logistics and resource allocation to operational oversight and quality control. Additionally, the Project Manager coordinated multi-disciplinary teams under stringent timelines.

Project Scope

The project utilized the latest techniques and equipment in pile driving for the enhancement of the terminal’s infrastructure. This phase was executed with attention to detail to avoid any environmental impact. The installation of a vibrating head, new gangways to improve functionality and safety, and other important updates were scheduled to ensure terminal activities could continue without interruption.
