NETSCo Selected to Support ATB Conversion for Vane Brothers Company

The Vane Brothers Company’s conversion of two new 4,200-hp tugs to ATB tugs is a feature story in the Marine Log’s July Issue. Both tugs were part of a series of Elizabeth Anne Class tugs designed by Entech  Designs and built at St. Johns Ship Building in Florida.

NETSCo has been selected to support the ATB conversion of the barges. The firm is providing structural design of the new coupler skegs and midship section strengthening; Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of the new structure and transition to the barge; stability calculations; shipyard bid packages; and, ABS class approvals.
