Jan Flores, VP of NETSCo will be a panelist on the Alternative Fuels presentation on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 1 – 2:30 pm at the SNAME Maritime 2021 Conference.
The SNAME description of the presentation is: “Amendments to MARPOL Annex VI and the results of MEPC 76/77 have created unprecedented changes to the air emissions standards for maritime operations. The industry as a whole is expected to take significant steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions between 2023 and the major milestone dates of 2030 as well as 2050. Existing energy efficiency technology and power limitation strategies are likely to be leading compliance strategies for owners , operators, and designers in the near term, however the move to low carbon & zero carbon fuels will be the necessary long term solution.
