NETSCo has contracted licensed surveying companies to complete the hydrographic surveys for the Viking Mississippi River Cruise project at five terminals – New Orleans, Houmas House, Natchez, St Francisville, and Vicksburg – which capture river bottom bathymetry across the area to be developed at each site. Analysis for statistical water level fluctuations was carried out, and compared to the hydrographic surveys. This allowed engineers to design the docks to be operational for the most statistically predicted water level heights. Our engineers will continue with Phase II until we have completed development and assistance with for all of the port locations from New Orleans, Louisianna to St. Paul, Minnesota.
