Nick Hunter, P.E. invited to join University of Michigan Advisory Board

Nick Hunter PhotographNick Hunter, P.E. of NETSCo has been invited to serve as a member of the Advisory Board for the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) at University of Michigan (UM) for a three-year term, effective 2023-2026.

Nick is a Senior Naval Architect / Marine Engineer who has been with NETSCo for more than 8 years. At NETSCo, he leads system engineering work, equipment integrations, and structural design projects across a wide range of industry sectors. Prior to joining NETSCo, he worked at NSWC Carderock Division as a Project Engineer.

Nick is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio and a lifetime member of the UM Alumni Association. His professional affiliations include the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) as well as the F25 Standards Committee for ASTM International.

The NAME Department at UM has a 144-year history and offers engineering degrees at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels. Their mission is to be a “world leader in the education of engineers in the application of engineering principles for the maritime environment with an emphasis on the conceptual design, engineering, manufacture and life cycle management of marine vehicle, structures and complex systems.”
